Draft Review Status

Status: Draft-ready editorial policy copy. Not yet legal/editorial reviewed. Not published.

Editorial Mission

Healthy Paws Essentials creates dog wellness and supplement education that helps pet parents ask better questions, understand labels, recognize safety issues, and avoid overconfident product claims. Our content is designed to support safer decision-making, not replace veterinary care.

Content Creation Process

Our editorial workflow is draft-first. Pages are planned around accepted site architecture, written with claim-safety rules, checked for internal-link consistency, and marked with review placeholders until the appropriate review has actually occurred.

Drafts may include visible admin-entry SEO notes, source placeholders, reviewer placeholders, schema staging notes, and safety-review status notes so publication blockers are clear before launch.

Source Standards

Health, supplement, behavior, and product-comparison content should be supported by relevant veterinary, professional, regulatory, label, manufacturer, or evidence-based sources before publication. Draft pages may include source placeholders, but final pages should not rely on unsourced claims.

Product-specific facts should come from current product labels, manufacturer information, retailer listings, testing/quality documentation when available, and editorial verification notes.

Veterinary and Behavior Review Standards

Pages involving dog health, symptoms, supplements, digestion, joint pain, senior wellness, anxiety, stress, medication context, or behavior concerns may require veterinary, behavior, or both types of review before publication.

We do not mark content as medically, veterinary, or behavior reviewed until a real reviewer has completed review and the reviewer name, credentials, bio, and review date are recorded.

Product and Commercial Review Separation

Commercial comparison pages are kept separate from medical advice. Product pages must preserve safety framing, affiliate disclosure, product methodology links, and product-verification status. Product rankings, ratings, prices, merchant links, and affiliate CTAs should not be published until product data and editorial review are complete.

Affiliate Independence

Healthy Paws Essentials may earn affiliate commissions, but affiliate relationships should not control our editorial standards, claim-safety language, product criteria, or whether a product is considered appropriate for a specific use case.

Read our Affiliate Disclosure.

Claim-Safety Standards

We avoid language that says supplements diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or fix medical or behavior conditions. We avoid saying owners can diagnose anxiety, digestive issues, pain, or other conditions at home. We avoid saying products replace veterinary care, medication, training, environmental management, or qualified behavior support.

Safer language focuses on support, context, professional guidance, and signs that should prompt a veterinary or behavior conversation.

AI and Content Assistance Disclosure

Healthy Paws Essentials may use drafting, editing, research-organization, or quality-assurance tools to assist with content workflows. Assisted content should still be reviewed, edited, fact-checked, source-checked, and approved by the appropriate human editorial or expert reviewers before publication.

Updates and Corrections

We aim to review and update content when product information changes, safety guidance evolves, source quality improves, or readers identify potential errors. Pages should include last-reviewed or last-updated information after final review.
